Almouj Golf Swiss Air Par 3 League

10 April 2013Back

Thanks to having a fully floodlit Academy Par 3 Course competitive play at Almouj Golf doesn't have to stop once darkness falls! Over the past 6 weeks the Almouj Golf Swiss Air League has been running with players vying for a top 10 finish to book their place in the series final. The players, all receiving 25% of their handicap index, have competed each week to record six 9 hole scores, their best 4 net scores being totalled for qualification.

In addition to the weekly prizes and post round BBQ the top 10 players booking their places in the series final will get the chance to compete for two Business Class flights to Dubai and several other unique Swiss Air prizes.

Qualifying in pole position was 10 handicap Nasaruddin Mohamad who despite missing one week of qualifying posted consistent net scores of 28, 24, 25 and 28 the worst score of 34 coming in the final week which thanks to the format was dropped from his series total.

Notable performances through the 6 week qualifying include a fine gross two under par 25 from 11 handicap Lee O'Donoghue which was recorded in week 2 and stood as the official course record until two weeks later when 5 handicap Aaron O'Hara bettered it by one shot recording a gross three under par 24.

The top 10 players now look forward to the series final on the 16th April where the slate is wiped clean with all competitors starting from a level position. The next 6 week series has already been scheduled and full details can be found by looking at the Almouj Golf website.
