Wacky Wednesdays 8th August

After playing the back 9 holes in last week's Wacky Wednesdays the small but enthusiastic field returned to the familiar front 9 this week.

With the winning score exceeding 20 points for the last 3 weeks it was 22 handicapper Geetesh Tamse who continued the run to a 4^th week with a fine 20 points. Playing from the white tees Tamse's round looked to falter at the par 5 3^rd hole with an 8 for no points but he rallied well and the highlight of the round came at the challenging 6^th hole where a gross par with 2 strokes netted him 4 points.

Wacky Wednesday's are open to all Handicap holding Members and Guests, the entry fee is a sleeve of Titleist golf balls. With the Almouj Golf Ramadan Two-for-One promotion on weekday green fees the next few Wednesdays are the ideal way to bring along two guests to participate in this competitive but social event.

Several of the competitors also followed their 9 holes on the Championship Course with a quick 9 on the newly opened Academy Par 3 Course, which being floodlit allows play to continue long after dark. Look out for a Wacky Wednesdays Combo soon!
