On Course with Superintendent Steve Johnson

The golf course maintenance team has been very busy over the summer months with our summer maintenance programs.

Tee’s, fairways and approaches will all receive a two further hollow corings before the end of September.

The team has just completed the restoration of the bunker faces. Since construction all of the bunker faces have naturally altered from their original design so this summer the team has gone in and taken the faces back to their original shapes and contours and in some cases adjusted to suit the contours. We have also added rubber stairs in some of the larger bunkers to assist with access and increase playability.

In August we realigned the cart path on the 5th hole due to the nearby construction works..  The cart path was moved to the inside of the existing mounds to follow the contour of the lake edge.

Thanks again for everybody’s patience and understanding whilst these essential works are carried out on the golf course and look forward to seeing you on the course.
